Nissan says car output in Russia rises 17% to 45,000 units 2021
MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- Japanese car manufacturer Nissan increased car manufacturing at its plant in Russia’s Saint Petersburg by 17% on the year to 45,040 units in 2021, the company said in a statement on Monday.
“Nissan produced 45,040 cars at its plant in St. Petersburg, thus increasing production volume at the plant by 17% compared to 2020,” the company said.
Qashqai, X-Trail and Murano were the company’s most manufactured models with a total of 22,200, 20,300 and 2,600 units manufactured in 2021, respectively.
According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), Nissan’s sales in Russia fell by 9% to 51,300 cars in 2021.
